Greetings Stitchers,

    How did everyone survive the heat of last week-end?  I hope that you were inside, stitching in hand - keeping cool and enjoying your favorite project!  Or, maybe you were on-line or you stopped in the shop to find that new project you've been thinking about!  That happened to me.  I should be finishing up Patriotic Summer....but I've now decided that I'm going to start Lizzie Kate's Christmas Double Flip Its....I'll let you know which ends up getting finished first!  Maybe it was so hot that I felt the need to do something with a "cooler" feeling.......like Christmas! 

     Last week-end, in the BLAZING HOT HEAT....my sister Beth, my husband Jay, my cousin Greg and my 2 sons, Jimmy and Chris - enjoyed 24 hours of chaos in Baltimore.  If I went into details...it would take about 40 pages...but it was almost 24 hours of a comedy of errors.  It began with my son Chris spilling his entire drink all over himself......it ended with us surviving sitting in the heat watching the Orioles get beat by the Tigers.  There was LOTS in between.....suffice it to say there were MANY times that I wished I was home in the a/c WATCHING a game and stitching....ahhhh welll!

We looked pretty good at this point......by the end...we were like wet noodles....DRIPPING WITH SWEAT - it wasn't pretty!

Call of the Ocean, Hannah Purington, Postcards from Paradise are 3 all-time favorites!!

The one in the middle had always reminded me of Cape Cod....so I stitched it and personalized it, then I put a photo of my boys on "the rock".

Stitch, and remember when you could feel the ocean's breeze and stick your piggies in the sand
