Shorttakes

Black cats & goblins are getting in gear,

Halloween's coming ~ it's that time of year.

Spiders are spinning their webs at the thought

Of low-flying ghouls soon to be caught.

The skeleton crew will be light on their feet,

But the ghosts are all worried about finding a sheet.

So it's good to start early ~ you don't need a reason,

Fill up your goodie bag with treats of the season.

Join in the fun with the ghosts & the witches,

And spoil yourself with Halloween stitches.

That's right folks, this Friday is Friday the 13th!  And there was no way we were gonna pass up a Friday the 13th Halloween sale!  Now, being that it's already October, this treat is more about adding stash to your goodie bag, instead of finishing something to trick out your Halloween for this year.  However, as we have seen over the last few years, lots & lots of stitchers are more about stitching "in the season" as opposed to getting a project done for a certain day.  So here's your chance to find something tasty AND get a discount!

So here's the deal.  All Halloween designs are 20% off on Friday the 13th ~ Sunday the 15th.  Pretty simple!  There are a few new goodies that have just arrived, as well as some that are on the way, not to mention some of our most favorite classics.

This is part of our small Halloween/Autumn stitching display at the shop.  If you've been to the shop, you know we have an entire section dedicated to Autumn, Halloween & Thanksgiving stitching!

Once again, I find myself wanting to apologize for my radio silence for so long.  I will just say that the month of September was not kind to me personally.  I'm working hard to battle thru some challenges & keep plugging along.  One day at a time, one hour at a time...

I have truly missed taking the time to write this newsletter & show all y'all what's new & fun.  So I am happy that Friday the 13th really gave me a PUSH to get this done.

I have been furiously framing, Therese & I have been doing our darnedest to manage mailorder ~ including some deep dives to get our heads around all the work that Molly did all on her own, Therese has been cranking out tons of your finishing projects, and Connie, Tracy & Cindy have been stellar on the floor working with all y'all who drop in to visit!

Speaking of framing, Lise's dad dropped by earlier this week to bring us some of her supplies she had at home ~ yay, our round matcutter has returned! ~ and can I just say how lovely it was to see him.  He is such a kind person & it was nice to chat with him & share more Lise stories.  Not to mention, we got a great update on our girl Ivy (she's a happy camper ~ she loves her PopPop!).  We miss Lise every day, but I know she's still keeping an eye on things here ~ no doubt rolling her eyes at me when I do things like lose the hammer (I KNOW she knows where it is...I wish she'd cough it up!), tried to cut my thumb off last week (ugh!  New style of spacers get the better of me), and she better be sticking close as I set up the round matcutter again!

Halloween stitching is so much fun!  If I had a nickel for each time someone says they love stitching halloween things...but don't always get them out (lookin' at you Tracy!)...  But like so many things we like to stitch, it's more about the stitching itself than it is the finished product for lots of us (okay, definitely for me...).  So get your trick or treat bag out & add some treats to your stash.

Hugs & stitches ~
